Supremacy Local Scholarship Award

This yearly scholarship award is open to all Malaysians who are policyholders or children of policyholders of Great Eastern whose policies have been in force for more than three years to pursue the following first degree courses at any of the recognized local public or private universities:

Courses of Study

1. Accounting
2. Law
3. Business Administration
4. Mathematics
5. Actuarial Science
6. Economics
7. Information Technology

Value of Awards

Public University

Maximum RM13,700 per annum for academic fees and living allowance per academic year.

Private University

Maximum RM16,700 per annum for academic fees and living allowance per academic year.

Tenure of Award

Minimum period required by the recipient to complete the course
Requirements:

An applicant must :

a) be below 21 years of age as of the year of application.
b) possess good academic result in STPM/equivalent and active in sports and extra curricular activities.
c) be able to gain admission to the local public or private universities for approved courses of study. Applicants to be considered from local private universities must have completed their matriculation or the first year in their degree programme.

Provisional offer of scholarship will be made subject to the confirmation of acceptance by the abovementioned educational institutions.

Conditions of Awards

(a) Award holders must not be bonded to or holding any other scholarship or receiving financial assistance from any other institutions or organizations.
(b) Award holders will be required to enter into a 3-year bond with Great Eastern immediately upon successful completion of their course.

Shell Scholarship

The Shell Scholarship (Overseas & Local) is now open for application. The closing date is 31st March 2008.

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:

* Successfully completed your SPM, STPM, O-Levels, A-Levels & Diploma
* Excellent academic achievement with emphasis in English
* Demonstration of leadership skills through active participation in extra-curricular activities. e.g. societies and clubs, sports, etc.
* Strong academic record and realistic expectation of a high CGPA or its equivalent

Preferred disciplines for scholarships include:

* Engineering (Petroleum, Chemical, Electrical and Mechanical)
* Sciences (Geosciences, Chemistry and Physics)
* Business Administration / Economics
* Finance & Accounting
* IT (includes Business/ Management IT)

Master of Science (MsC) in Geosciences

Candidate must posses a good Honours Degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognized university.

Language Requirements

Applicants who are Malaysian citizens must possess a credit in Bahasa Melayu at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification. Foreign and local students are required to have English proficiency in both written and spoken by the meeting one the following requirements:

* Minimum TOEFL score of 550 OR
* Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 OR
* Minimum ELTS score of Band-6 OR
* Minimum MUET score of Band-4.

Applicants who are native English speakers or holding a degree with English as the medium of instruction may be exempted from this requirement.

Applications may be submitted provisionally based on latest semester results (for Matriculation students) or Trial Examination results (for STPM students). This may be done through schools or individually.

Shell Malaysia reserves the right for verification of the above.

ASEAN Foundation Scholarships for Nationals of ASEAN Member Countries

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify, applicants must:

* Be a bonafide ASEAN national;
* Hold a bachelors degree (normally from a four-year program) or its equivalent in an appropriate field;
* Have above average undergraduate grades (minimum CGPA of 2.75); and,
* Satisfy other requirements as specified by the school you apply to.
* AIT is an international institute with English as the sole language of instruction. Admission to AIT requires proof of English language proficiency which may be satisfied in any of the following: Submission of an official test score from any of the following standardized English exams: TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, CU-TEP (Thailand), ARC (Lao PDR).
* Agree to return and/or serve for at least 2 years in any ASEAN countries after completion of their studies.
