PUTRAJAYA PERDANA BERHAD Scholarships Award

PUTRAJAYA PERDANA BERHAD,
a company listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, PUTRA PERDANA CONSTRUCTION Sdn Bhd & PUTRA PERDANA DEVELOPMENT Sdn Bhd, have over the years designed, developed and built several billion ringgit worth of prestigious commercial, residential and infrastructural projects in the country and NOW, it is time for the Group to help to develop the youth of the nation and to build a better future for them by offering scholarships to young, deserving and needy Malaysian students who would otherwise be denied of higher education due to financial constraints.


The Scholarship

1. Up to RM3,000/RM4,000/RM7,000 per academic year for Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree programmes respectively
2. Open to financially needy and academically deserving students to pursue courses at local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics
3. Successful Scholars, upon completion of their respective courses and graduation from local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics shall be required to serve as an employee of PPB or any of its subsidiaries for a minimum of 2 years (subject to vacancy)

1. Civil/Structural Engineering
2. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
3. Quantity Surveying

Qualifications


1. Malaysian citizen
2. Full-time student
3. Has gained acceptance into local public/private universities/colleges/polytechnics
4. Good SPM/STPM results or other relevant results
5. Currently not holding any other scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from any organisations

Photocopy Documents To Be Attached With

1. A recent passport-sized photograph
2. Certified true copy of academic results (secondary & tertiary)
3. Student Identity card
4. Certificates of extra-curricular activities/ testimonials
5. Latest EA Form/ Salary slip/ Pension Card/Income tax notice of assessment (parents')

For current undergraduates, please state the current year of study and include the following documents:-
1. Offer letter from University/College
2. Semester results
3. Documents stating the tuition fee from the University/College.

For students who have yet to receive the offer letter from the University/College, please bring the letter of offer to our interview session if short listed

Yayasan KLK Scholarship Awards

KLK has established a foundation, (Yayasan KLK), which offers scholarships to deserving undergraduates from the lower income group pursuing a diploma or degree course at any local government universities. Upon graduation, candidates may be offered positions suitable to their course of study within the KLK Group of Companies.

Advertisements for the scholarships are placed out every year. The applicants based on our criteria are then screened and short-listed for an interview. Successful applicants are provided with annual grant over the minimum duration of their courses as follows:

Degree - RM 7,000 per academic year
Diploma - RM 5,000 per academic year


While undergoing tertiary education, the scholar's academic performances are monitored and they are provided field training when necessary. Such monitoring is necessary as it ensures only good talents are subsequently recruited to continue the Group's tradition of leadership excellence.

Eligibility Criteria
1. Open to all qualified Malaysian citizens who have gained admission to recognised local government universities/institutions of higher learning including employee's children of the KLK Group of Companies.

2. Free from any bond and not holding scholarship or receiving any financial assistance from other organizations.

3. Willing to serve a bonded period of two years for Diploma courses and three years for Degree courses from the date of appointment.

4. Adhere always to the rules and regulations of Yayasan KL

MARA Loan

The MARA Loan programme applies to students who plan to join any private institution for '3+0' programmes. Students must apply to the respective institution before applying for the loan.

Eligibility criteria
The loan only applies to Malay and Bumiputra students who are financially needy and who are not more than 40 years old. In addition, students must maintain a CGPA of 2.5 and above to be eligible to apply for the loan.

Loan coverage
The loan covers tuition fees and allowance, the amount of which depends on your financial background.
